Former World No. 5 Eugenie Bouchard has revealed on her Instagram account that she has set up a dating profile on the Bumble app. Bumble is a location-based social app that facilitates communication between interested users.
Bumble was founded by Whitney Wolfe Herd shortly after she left Tinder, a dating app she co-founded, due to growing tensions with other company executives. As of September 2019, with a monthly user base of 5 million, Bumble is the second-most popular dating app in the U.S.
after Tinder. The 26 year old Bouchard created a screenshot of her newly-created dating profile on Instagram, with the caption, “I make bomb mini quesadillas”. In a sponsored post, Bouchard said that she was matching with people in Canada and asked her followers to download the app and match with her.
Earlier during the quarantine, the Canadian posted an update on her social media that the quarantine period would be a lot more fun with a boyfriend. She received several responses and had to ask her followers to stop sending her resumes to her agent.
Bouchard is currently ranked No. 332 in the world but continues to remain one of the most popular athletes in the sport. She spent the lockdown period in Las Vegas and also went back to the courts after the restrictions were eased in the region.
