Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer losses among Top 10 upsets in history

The Tennis Channel, with the help of its experts, has listed out the Top 10 list of upsets in tennis history. At the top of the list was Serena Williams' loss to little known Italian Roberta Vinci in the semifinals of the 2015 US Open.

Serena was the big favourite in that match and was hoping to become the first player since Steffi Graf in 1988 to win all four Slams in the same year. However, Vinci played some of the best tennis of her career to win in three sets and pull off the shock win.

Rafael Nadal's loss to Robin Soderling ranked No. 2 on the biggest upsets in tennis history

Rafael Nadal's loss to Robin Soderling in the fourth round of the Roland Garros 2009 event came in second place, as the Swede became the first player to beat Nadal at the tournament.

He remains one of only two men to beat Nadal at the tournament which the Spaniard has won 12 times in his career. Katleen Hovarth's win over Martina Navratilova at 1983 Roland Garros event came in at No. 3 on the list. The defeat to the American teen was her only loss that year as she won 86 of her 87 matches in 1983.

Lori McNeil's first-round win over three-time defending champion Steffi Graf at Wimbledon 1994 event came in at No. 4. Swiss journeyman George Bastl's five-set win over seven-time champion Pete Sampras at the 2002 Wimbledon Championships came in at No.
