Former World No. 1 tennis star Venus Williams has given her fans a sneak peek into the first look of her upcoming CBS show 'Game On' with Rob Gronkowski. The show will debut on Wednesday, May 27 on CBS. Gronkowski and Williams will be captains of their respective teams competing against each other in a wide variety of sports-related challenges.
The show is hosted by Keegan-Michael Key. During a virtual press conference, Williams commented, "It was fun to get outside of your box. And if you didn’t do well you could laugh about it because the show is about laughter, it’s about the personalities.
It’s about us getting outside of our comfort zones”. Gronkowski says, “That’s what the show is all about. It’s playful, it’s fun, it’s hilarious and we never took ourselves too seriously.
It’s a competition, but it wasn’t an all-out type of competition. It was more of a fun type of atmosphere throughout the competitions. That’s why I signed up for it”. Williams is a seven-time Grand Slam singles champion.
She turns 40 years old in June and says she is looking forward to returning to the courts when the tour resumes.
