World No. 3 Dominic Thiem says his younger brother Moritz Thiem is better than him and ahead of him in many things while he is only better than him at tennis.

26 year old Dominic Thiem's younger brother Moritz Thiem is 20 years old and is currently ranked No.

1426 in the ATP singles rankings. Like several other younger brothers of top players (Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas), Moritz Thiem has not been able to replicate the success of his older brother on the court as of now.

However, Dominic Thiem says his brother is better than him at many other things outside of tennis. “In many ways, my brother is in front of me and is better than me. I have a lot to learn from him and I think I'm only better at tennis.

He can do many things in life better than me. I am proud of him."

Moritz Thiem started competing on the pro circuit in 2018 and has been competing on the ITF Pro circuit, trying to break into the top 1000 of the ATP Rankings.

The brothers are known to be close off the court - regularly hanging out or working out together, going for family holidays and also providing company to one another. Both of them are recently played in the recent Generali Austrian Pro Series event in Austria.

26 year old Dominic Thiem is currently ranked a career-high No.

3 in the world rankings. He is the second highest-ranked Austrian player in history, behind Thomas Muster, who reached the World No. 1 spot in 1996. Thiem has won 16 ATP Tour singles titles, including a title at the 2019 BNP Paribas Open, and reached three Grand Slam finals in his career so far - the 2018 and 2019 French Open, losing to Rafael Nadal on both occasions, and the 2020 Australian Open, where he lost to Novak Djokovic.
