Tennis - While the Australian and US Opens have bowed down to player pressure and increased prize money for those tournaments, the French Open and Wimbledon organizers are yet to come out with their stance on increased prize money.

According to ATP Player Council representative Justin Gimelstob, "We told them (the French Tennis Federation) at our last meeting that their presentation was insufficient. In light of what the Australian Open and U.S. Open did, players refuse to accept that the resources aren't there." "They are in jeopardy of being exposed as the least significant Grand Slam monetarily." The USTA announced earlier this week that prize money for the 2013 US Open would increase to $33.1 million from $25 million in 2012 and would eventualy go up to $50 milliion by 2017.
