Caroline Wozniacki's career

Caroline Wozniacki played in the WTA Tour between 2005 and 2020.

She is considered the strongest Danish tennis player in history and one of the strongest of the modern era. She was number one of the world for 71 weeks, from October 2010 through January 2012 and again in January 2018. She was the first player from a Scandinavian country to reach the top of the WTA rankings and to win a Grand Slam tournament: a feat accomplished with the win at the Australian Open 2018.

She has won 30 WTA tournaments in her career, including the 2017 WTA Finals and the Australian Open 2018. She also reached two other Grand Slam finals, both lost, at the US Open, in 2009 and 2014. She holds the record for the first player ever to have beaten three different number ones in the same year, a feat achieved in 2017, when she defeated Karolína Pliskova, Garbine Muguruza and Simona Halep.

She was the twentieth tennis player in history to reach number one, and the tenth to finish the season in that position twice, in 2010 and 2011. She also holds the record for having the most Premier tournaments won (11) and the most International tournaments (9).

She has also won, for 11 consecutive years, at least one WTA title, a streak that began in 2008 and ended in 2018. She is in fourth place in the ranking that counts the prize money won in career in tournaments, reaching 35 million dollars.

In 2018 she was elected by the famous Forbes magazine as the most influential sportswoman in the world, thus becoming the first athlete in history to enter the top ten of the most powerful women in the world in sports.
