Tennis - Former World No. 1 Andy Murray was seen hitting at Wimbledon as he continues his rehab from hip surgery. Murray underwent hip surgery earlier this year but said he was not sure if he would be able to play professionally again.
However, he continues to make progress as he was seen hitting on the Wimbledon courts with WTA player Anett Kontaveit and British junior Emma Raducanu on Friday. LTA coach Matt James shared the videos of the same. Murray and the others were seen hitting on the green clay courts at Wimbledon.
Both Kontaveit and Raducanu are currently being coached by Nigel Sears, who is the father-in-law of Murray. Murray has said that he would like to make a comeback at Wimbledon but the chances of the same are uncertain given that he would have only five months to make a comeback to top-level professional tennis.
He played only six events last year and two events this season before deciding to undergo surgery after the Australian Open. Murray was beaten in a tough five-setter in Melbourne by Spain's Roberta Bautista Agut. He is currently ranked No. 217 in the world.
