World No.14 Johanna Konta has become the second WTA player in recent weeks to launch her own podcast during the lockdown. Konta has launched The Johanna Konta Podcast, which is available on Spotify, and aims to be "a dose of relaxspiration" - a combination of relaxation and inspiration.
The first episode sees the former World No. 4 answering questions from fans as well as interviewing Harry Potter actors James and Oliver Phelps. Konta is the second notable WTA star to launch her podcast since the tour suspension in March - former World No.
5 Daniela Hantuchova launched her own podcast show, DNA, which is focused around the inspiring people in the two-time Indian Wells champion's life.
The 28 year old Konta has won three singles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as 11 singles and four doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.
She peaked at No. 4 in the rankings in July 2017. Konta has reached the semifinals of the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the French Open. One of her biggest wins came at the Miami Open in 2017 and she also reached the quarter-finals of the Rio Summer Olympics in 2016.
Konta was born in Sydney, Australia and moved to the U.K. when she was 14. She switched her sporting allegiance from Australia to Great Britain after she became a British citizen in May 2012.
