During a recently held fan meeting, Victoria Azarenka has confirmed that she intends to make herself available for Belarus during the Fed Cup meeting against Russia scheduled to take place on the coming weekend. Speaking about the upcoming fixture, the Belarusian acknowledged the importance of the coming fixture and how she has always been willing to represent her country.
During the same fan meeting, Azarenka also confirmed that she will only be playing in the singles event at the Rio Olympics. Other matters that were addressed during the meetings were Azarenka’s interest in other sports, especially football and how he she has found it very difficult to play against Serena Williams in her career.
Later on in the meet up, the 26 year old also spoke about Maria Sharapova and explained that no conclusions can be made regarding the matter until a full investigation is done. Azarenka has enjoyed a great start to the season as she has looked in top form with already three titles to her name.
