US Open runner-up Leylah Fernandez is training with her sister Bianca, 17, ahead of the 2022 season. Leylah made a big jump in 2021 and now she is hoping to continue her rise in 2022. Bianca, the younger sister of Leylah, is currently ranked at No.

Enjoying every moment we get to spend together before the season," Leylah said in a Twitter post.

Leylah Fernandz enjoyed a great US Open run

Leylah made her maiden Grand Slam final at the age of 19 before losing to Emma Raducanu.

2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu described Leylah's run as "truly amazing." "Amazing. Truly amazing. I'm super happy for her ... hopefully we'll be playing many finals against each other & with (BJKCup) I think we make a really great team," Bianca Andreescu said of Fernandez's run to the US Open final.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Marta Kostyuk admitted it was tough for her to watch Fernandez and Raducanu succeed at the US Open. “I have to be honest,” Kostyuk started. "It was a bit rough for me to watch both of their runs.

I’m trying to be the best I can be, so I obviously want to be where they are, and I’m sure it’s going to happen soon. It just didn’t feel very nice to watch them playing a final. It was very inspirational because it gave me strength and helped me realize that I can do the same thing.

This is a thing they gave me, and I’m very thankful for that. Leading something is never easy: when you are the first, there’s always extra pressure and more expectations."
