Tennis - Casey Dellacqua and Ashleigh Barty win Birmingham doubles title

Tennis - Casey Dellacqua and Ashleigh Barty became the first all-Australian duo to win a WTA Doubles title in six years with their win at the WTA AEGON Classic in Birmingham on Sunday. The Australians beat Cara Black and Marina Erakovic 75 64 to win the title.

Barty commented after the win, "We played really well this week. We lost in the Australian Open final and we hadn't really played together since then, so it's been great to get our focus back as a team this week.

It's been an amazing week, We've been pretty fortunate not to come on and off too often because of the rain. We had to wait a bit to play the final, but it turned out great. We're heading to Wimbledon now - I've never played doubles there before so I'm really looking forward to that." This was Dellacqua's second career doubles title and Barty's first.

The two also reached the finals of the Australian Open doubles title. Meanwhile, in Germany, Raluca Olaru and Valeria Solovyeva won the doubles title at the NÜRNBERGER VERSICHERUNGSCUP beating top seeds Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Kveta Peschke.26 76(3) 119 in the final.
