TAG Heier unveils Aquaracer Professional 300 Naomi Osaka Limited Editio

Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka has unveiled a new limited edition model of TAG Heuer’s Aquaracer watch that places an emphasis on the personal importance of the color green. The watch is packaged in a black-and-green box that features Osaka’s official logo, as well as logo for TAG Heuer.

The Aquaracer will be limited to just 250 watches. “Designing a watch is different to designing clothes because you have a much smaller canvas to work with,” Osaka told Complex of the special piece, officially known as the Aquaracer Professional 300 Naomi Osaka Limited Edition.

“Therefore, you need to be more intricate, precise, and thoughtful. Green is just a color that I like to wear and it flashes and clashes; and it’s a nod to my day job”.

Osaka made a good start to 2022

In her first tournament in four months, Osaka made the semifinal at the Melbourne Summer Set 1.

Osaka pulled out of her Melbourne semifinal against Veronica Kudermetova because her body got a shock from playing back-to-back intense matches following a long break. Before the start of the tournament, Osaka revealed her goal for 2022 was to have fun and never cry again in the pressroom.

Osaka certainly enjoyed her time on the court last week. “I only really have one major goal this year, and it’s completely unrelated to results and stuff like that,” Osaka said. “For me, I just want to feel like every time I step on the court I’m having fun.

I can walk off the court knowing that even if I lost, I tried as hard as I could. Also I have a goal in the pressroom, that I’m never going to cry again, so hopefully that works out in my favour. “I just feel like for me, I’m the type of person that cared a little bit too much about the results and the ranking and stuff like that.

And I just need to find a way to enjoy the game again because that’s the reason why I was playing in the first place. “I’m trying this out. Of course I’m not sure if this is going to work out well. I guess I’ll let you know after this tournament."
