Tennis - Nadia Petrova and Katrina Srebotnik have won the WTA Aegon International doubles title on Saturday - their third title of the year. Petrova and Srebotnik defeated the pairing of Monica Niculescu and Klara Zakopalova 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
Petrova commented, "It's actually a great feeling to win this title, because the week has been quite challenging with all the rain and weather conditions. The last two matches we had to play with a very strong wind, but we stayed calm and were very patient.
And we have a good game for the grass - we complement each other very well. Winning this title is a really good preparation for Wimbledon." This is Petrova's 24th career doubles title and Srebotnik's 33rd career doubles title.
Petrova and Srebotnik are seeded no. 3 at Wimbledon which begins tomorrow.
