Tennis - With Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova out of Wimbledon, former finalist Mariion Bartoli might fancy her chances of making it deep in this draw. On Wednesday, Bartoli moved into the third round after a hard fought straight sets win over American Christina McHale 7-5, 6-4.
Bartoli is seeded 15th here this year and has reportedly split with her dad as her coach once again. While she has hired Thomas Drouet, the former hitting partner of Bernard Tomic, she said she is also planning to hire a physio next and then decide on her coaching situation.
Bartoli will next meet Italian Camila Giorgi, who upset 22nd seeded Sorana Cirstea in two tie breakers in the final match of the day. Giorgi won both tie breaks 9-7 and 8-6 to advance to the third round.
