Comedian Amber Ruffin showed some empathy to Noami Osaka and fired a warning to Osaka's heckler. Osaka was brought to tears after being heckled during her Indian Wells second round match. A heckler from the crowd yelled "Naomi, you suck" and the Japanese was visibly upset as she started crying and pleaded to the chair umpire to remove the heckler from the stadium.
It clearly affected Osaka as Veronika Kudermetova claimed a surprise 6-0 6-4 win over the Japanese. "It really made me mad when this happened because I love her so much. So, I just wanted to drop by for a special message of support for Naomi Osaka.
Naomi, we are so proud of you and we love you, and we're gonna support you no matter what you do," Ruffin said, per Sportskeeda.

"And I also got a message for the heckler.
I'm gonna find you. I'm gonna find you and I'm gonna rip you up like a piece of paper. You wanna yell 'Naomi you suck?' Well you know what sucks? Your chances of survival," Ruffin added. Osaka wanted to address the crowd during the first set but the chair umpire denied her request.
Osaka was given a chance to address the crowd after the match. "Hi," Osaka said, greeting the crowd. "I just wanted to say thank you. I feel like I cried enough on camera. To be honest, I've gotten heckled before and it didn't really bother me.
But heckled here. ... I've watched a video of Serena and Venus getting heckled here and if you've never watched it you should watch. I don't know why but it went into my head and got replayed a lot. I'm trying not to cry but, I just wanted to say thank you and congratulations [Veronika]. Thank you." Meanwhile, Osaka is preparing for the Miami Masters, where she has been given a wildcard.
