Sabine Lisicki loves to beat French Open champions at Wimbledon

Tennis: Germany"s Sabine Lisicki stunned Serena Williams at the 2013 Wimbledon Tennis Championship and has a very unique record going to her name. Lisicki ended Serena"s 34 match winning streak and for the fourth time she has beaten the French Open champion at Wimbledon.

It started in 2009 when Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia won French Open that year and was drawn to play Lisicki in the 3rd round. The 2004 US Open champion, who was seeded 5th at that year"s championship, was beaten 6-2, 7-5 by Lisicki.

In 2011, Li Na of China won the French Open. Seeded third at Wimbledon that year, Li Na faced Lisicki in the 2nd round and was beaten 3-6, 6-4, 8-6. She went on to play semifinal and lost against Maria Sharapova of Russia. She took revenge next year.

Last year, Maria Sharapova won the French Open, and world no.1 at that moment, Sharapova faced Lisicki in last 16, and was beaten 6-4, 6-3. This year, Serena was on a roll and had 34 match winning streak going. She had won the French Open and was facing Lisicki in the 4th round.

And Lisicki did it once again and defeated her in three sets 6-2, 1-6, 6-4. Lisiscki has lost Quarterfinals two times and semifinal once after taking out the French Open champion. She has reached Quarterfinal of Wimbledon once again this year.
