Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka revealed the other day she had a dream that she was drawn to meet Iga Swiatek in the French Open first round. Since Osaka is not a seeded player at this year's French Open, there was a chance for her to meet top-seeded Swiatek in the first round.
Fortunately for Osaka, she won't be opening her campaign against Swiatek as she has been drawn to meet 27th-seeded Amanda Anisimova in the first round. Swiatek has won her last 28 matches and beating the Pole is the most difficult thing in the game right now.
"I had a dream about the draw the other day, I dreamed that I played Iga (Swiatek). I was so scared. But when they told me I played Anisimova (who beat her in Melbourne), I said 'you're joking right ?'" But I can't say I didn't want to play her," Osaka said, per Tennis Majors.

Osaka easily lost to Swiatek in the Miami final
Osaka made her first final of the season a month and a half ago in Miami.
Osaka was playing great tennis throughout the whole tournament but she barely stood a chance versus Swiatek as the Pole claimed a 6-4 6-0 win the final. It was Osaka's first final since the 2021 Australian Open. Now, Osaka is set for the French Open.
Anisimova is a tricky opponent as earlier this year the American beat Oskaa when they clashed at the Australian Open. Even though Osaka entered their Australian Open match as the favorite, it was Anisimova who won 4-6 6-3 7-6 (5).
Osaka was hoping to have a great clay season but she has played only one clay tournament this year. In Madrid, Osaka won her first round match before she was surprised by Sara Sorribes Tormo. Osaka then pulled out of Rome because of an Achilles injury. It remains to be seen how far can Osaka go at the French Open this year.
