Tennis - Seventh seeded Ursula Radwanska has joined sister and top seed Agnieszka Radwanska in the second round of the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford. The younger Radwanska defeated American Christina McHale in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 to move into the second round.
Agnieszka received a bye in the first round as she is one of the top four seeds this week. Speaking after her win, Urszula commented, "The score actually shows that it was easy, but it wasn't. Christina is a great player, a great fighter, so she was fighting until the end, and I couldn't close the match.
It was a bit shaky in the end, but the first match is always tough and I only came here a few days ago and it's always tough to change time zones. But I'm happy I played well out there tonight and that I won the match." Urszula will play former world no.
5 Daniela Hantuchova in the second round while Agnieszka will meet former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone in the second round. The sisters are in the opposite sides of the draw and cannot meet before the finals.
