Sorana Cirstea revealed she recently tested positive for COVID-19 and it left "big impact" on her health. Cirstea last played in late June in Prague, where she suffered a first round to Oksana Selekhmeteva. That match was played two weeks ago and Cirstea likely tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after the match.
"Recently I have tested positive for the first time for COVID-19 and it had a big impact on my health. I am working hard to get back to my best level. There are things in life you can't control, but what you can control is your attitude towards them.
It's a day to day process and the only thing we should focus on is to be better than yesterday," Cirstea wrote on Instagram Story.
