Emma Raducanu says she is looking forward to playing Ons Jabeur at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi. Raducanu, 20, is set to meet 2022 Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur on Friday in Abu Dhabi. Last year, Raducanu signed up to compete at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship but a positive COVID-19 test forced her to skip the event.
Now, everything is fine and ready for a Raducanu and Jabeur showdown in Abu Dhabi. "Hi, this is Emma Raducanu and I'm looking forward to the MWTC and playing on the 16th in front of you. See you there," Raducanu said a video message for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.

Raducanu set to play for the first time in two months
In early October, Raducanu suffered a first-round loss to Daria Kasatkina in Ostrava.
Since Raducanu was dealing with a wrist injury, she decided to end her season and focus on getting fully healthy and ready for the 2023 season. Now, Raducanu is looking forward to testing her wrist in a real competitive match.
"Everything's wrapping up in terms of Tour Finals and things like that, but I'm going to Abu Dhabi for an exhibition match on December 16th. It’s not an actual tournament but I’ve been out of the game for two months with a wrist injury, so it’ll be interesting to see where I’m at with that.
As I said, I've been doing a lot of gym work, so it'll just be a great way to get back into the sport before the season officially begins. In the New Year, I'll be in Auckland before the start of the Australian Open," Raducanu told SheerLuxe.
After Abu Dhabi, Raducanu will continue her preparation for the 2023 season. In her first official tournament of the 2023 season, Raducanu will be competing at the ASB Classic in Auckland.
