Watch: Danielle Collins seemingly gets iritated by Jelena Ostapenko's team member

Danielle Collins seemingly wasn't happy with a member of Jelena Ostapenko's team as she was clearly pointing at someone during the third set of her Abu Dhabi first-round match.

On Monday, Collins and Ostapenko delivered a thriller in their Abu Dhabi first-round match. Collins, a former world No 7, fell just short of beating Ostapenko as the fifth-seeded Latvian escaped with a 7-5 1-6 7-5 win.

It was the second meeting between the two and Ostapenko now owns a 2-0 head-to-head against Collins. Their first meeting came in Miami five years ago, when Ostapenko beat Collins in straight sets.

The first break points of the match were seen in the third game, when Collins missed out on a break point.

In the sixth game, Ostapenko had her first break point chances but Collins saved two consecutive break points to tie the set to three games apiece. After saving two consecutive break points, Collins broke Ostapenko in the seventh game and then also served out the eighth game to open a 5-3 lead.

Just when it seemed Collins would win the first set, Ostapenko responded with back-to-back breaks as the Latvian won the next four games to overturn the deficit and steal the first set from the American. However, losing the first set in such a way didn't impact Collins at all as the American started the second set with back-to-back breaks and a 4-0 lead.

In the seventh game - when Ostapenko was serving to stay in the second set - Collins earned her third break of the set to force a decider. After easily winning the second set, Collins got broken in the third game of the third set.

Collins managed to get the break back in the eighth game but she again dropped her serve in the 11th game. In the 12th game, Ostapenko served out for the match and completed a three-set win over Collins. For Collins, it was her second consecutive defeat as she was playing her first match since losing to Elena Rybakina in the Australian Open third round.
