Emma Raducanu has decided to split with coach Sebastian Sachs. After concluding her 2022 season, Raducanu added Sachs to her coaching staff for the 2023 season. Raducanu, who underwent multiple surgeries last month, said she enjoyed her time with Sachs and added their split was a mutual decision.

"I have really enjoyed Seb’s coaching and working with him, it’s unfortunate that circumstances made it unfeasible for both of us to continue right now and we have decided to part ways. I wish Seb all the best moving forwards," Raducanu announced.

Raducanu has now split with five different coaches over the past two years. After changing three coaches in one year, Raducanu hired Dmitry Tursunov after last year's Wimbledon.

In October, Raducanu was left without a coach after Tursunov decided to stop working with the Briton. After a couple of months of working with Sachs, Raducanu again finds herself without a coach. Raducanu's frequent coaching changes led to major criticism of the Briton in the past.

Recently, 2013 Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli came to Raducanu's defense, saying that finding the right group of people is important - even if that means making some decisions that may not sit well with some. "Of course it is important to have the right people, but you can't blame someone from trying to find those right people and you just can't also keep going with some people if you don't feel it's the right thing for you.

If it doesn't work for you, then you have to be able to make those changes. You're jumping into the unknown and you have to make that path again but it takes time to build the team around you. I think for Emma, everything came so quickly," Bartoli recently told Sky Sports. Since Raducanu is set to be sidelined for quite some time, the Briton probably won't rush in finding a new coach.
