Emma Raducanu has confirmed that she will make her return to tennis next season after undergoing three surgeries. In May, Raducanu had surgeries on both wrists and also her right ankle. Since then, Raducanu has been sidelined and she missed this year's French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.

Last month, Raducanu returned to the practice court. Raducanu's recovery seems to be going well and the 2021 US Open champion is expected to be ready for the start of the 2024 season. "Next season I'll be back. This season all the slams were finished so it was difficult to watch them go by but I was trying to stay in my lane as much as possible and keep focused on my recovery," Raducanu told BBC London.

Staying healthy could be the key for Raducanu

After becoming a Grand Slam champion as an 18-year-old teenager, Raducanu started to battle various injuries and physical setbacks.

Since winning the 2021 US Open, Raducanu hasn't won any titles and hasn't had much success on the court. But many believe that Raducanu is still one of the most talented players in the game but just needs to find a way to stay healthy and fit for a longer period of time.

Last month, 2013 Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli said Raducanu needs to get healthy again and get one full year of just playing. "For Emma, it’s all about getting herself healthy again so she can do a full year. Since the US Open, she has had stop and go, stop and go.

She plays one tournament and then she is on the sidelines for two months. If she gets her body right and has one full year, I feel she can go back to where she was when she was at the top of her game," Bartoli told Tennis365 in August.
