Emma Raducanu has continued her rankings slump this week as the 20-year-old Briton is now ranked at No 277 in the world. Raducanu, who had three surgeries in May and hasn't played since then, exited the top-200 for the first time in 27 months last week.
After falling to No 214 last week, Raducanu dropped further 63 spots on the updated WTA rankings list this Monday. Raducanu, who is targeting to return to tennis in 2024, is nearing exiting the top-300. The last time Raducanu was ranked outside the top-300 was in 2021 July - just before she made the Wimbledon round-of-16 as an 18-year-old wildcard.

Raducanu won't have much points to defend in 2024
Before undergoing surgeries on both wrists and her right ankle, Raducanu appeared in just five tournaments this year.
Raducanu, who was ranked as high as No 10 in the world, won't have many points to defend in 2024. Tim Henman, a former British No 1, believes Raducanu will easily return to the top-100 next year. “At Indian Wells, one of the last tournaments that she played, up until 20 minutes before the matches, she wasn’t sure whether she was going to play.
She was training on court so sporadically, and then she still won three rounds and beat some very good players. [Her victory over Beatriz Haddad Maia was her best win by ranking since the US Open title. And that was on the back of no practice or training.
So, if she can be fit and healthy, she’ll get back in the top 100 comfortably and she’ll get back in the top 50. And who knows from there? So I’m very positive and optimistic. She’s such a great player that everybody would love to see Emma at the US Open, but she’s gonna have so many opportunities ahead of her.
She and we just need to be a little bit patient," Henman told i in August.
