USA rules the WTA Top-100!

American tennis players are the most numerous among the top hundred players in the WTA ranking

Based on the latest WTA ranking of the year 2023, The US tennis players rule the WTA ranking Top-100, and also with an important margin over the second ranked nation, which is Russia. In third place the Czech Republic. The United States rules with 17 players among the top 100 in the world.

Leading the US tennis players is Coco Gauff, WTA No.3 and winner of the last edition of the US Open, while Jessica Pegula number is WTA No.5. Russia follows with 12 players in the top 100 with Liudmila Samsonova having the best ranking.

Third position in this particular ranking for the Czech Republic which has 9 players. In fourth place is China with 7 tennis players. In fourth place are France and Italy tied with 5 players each in the top 100 of the WTA rankings.

Ukraine is next in the rankings with 4 players tied with Spain and Romania. With three players, Poland with world number 1 Iga Swiatek, Belarus with number 2 Aryna Sabalenka, Belgium and Germany. With two tennis players in the top 100 WTA places there are Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Croatia, Canada and Great Britain.

Finally with a tennis player there are Tunisia, Greece, Brazil, Latvia, Holland, Egypt, Argentina, Slovakia, Colombia, Bulgaria and Japan.​

And about the ATP ranking?

France, which places itself ahead of the United States.

Australia is in third place. As mentioned, France ended 2023 with this record, bringing 12 tennis players into the Top-100. The first French tennis player you come across when scrolling through the ATP ranking is Hugo Humbert who ended the year at No.20.

United States places 10 players in the top 100 in the world. Third position for Australia which has 8 players ranked in the top 100 in the world. Spain and Russia follow with 7 appearances each. Here Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev lead respectively.

With 6 appearances in the top 100 in the world, Germany and Argentina are tied. Then comes Italy who has 5 players in the top 100. Followed by Serbia with number 1 Novak Djokovic and Great Britain with 4 appearances. Then there are Chile and Japan with three players in the Top-100. The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary have two caps.
