Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki acknowledges winning another Grand Slam would be something special but suggests that now she would maybe prefer an Olympic medal.

During the first part of her career, Wozniacki accomplished her two biggest goals and dreams - she became the world No. 1 for the first time in 2010 before entering the Grand Slam winners club at the 2018 Australian Open.

Wozniacki - who was out of pro tennis for three and a half years before ending her retirement last July - is targeting to make her fourth Olympic appearance at this year's Paris Olympics. In Paris, Wozniacki wants to play in the singles event and she has also made it clear several months ago that she would absolutely love to play mixed doubles with Holger Rune.

“A Grand Slam is a Grand Slam but I would love an Olympic medal because I don’t have one… but a Slam would be very special. I don’t wanna be picky," Wozniacki said, via Jose Morgado.

How did Wozniacki do in her past three Olympic appearances?

In 2008 - just a month after turning 18 - Wozniacki made her Olympic debut after representing Denmark at the Beijing Olympics. In her Olympic debut, Wozniacki played only in the singles event and she started with wins over Selima Sfar and Daniela Hantuchova before former world No. 3 Elena Dementieva handed her a 7-6 6-2 loss in the round-of-16.

Four years later, Wozniacki did better at the London Olympics as she made the quarterfinal before stumbling upon Serena Williams and losing 0-6 3-6.

In her third Olympic appearance at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Wozniacki had her worst Olympic run as she exited the tournament in the second round following a 2-6 4-6 loss to Petra Kvitova.

This year, Wozniacki is expected to return to the Olympics for the first time in eight years. Also, Wozniacki should make her first mixed doubles appearance at an Olympic event in Paris.
