World No. 1 Iga Swiatek sent out a congratulatory message to Carlos Alcaraz following the 21-year-old Spaniard's first French Open win and he definitely appreciated it.

After Swiatek claimed her fourth French Open title on Saturday by dismantling Jasmine Paolini 6-2 6-1, Alcaraz also won the title in the men's event after overcoming Alexander Zverev 6-3 2-6 5-7 6-1 6-2 on Sunday.

Before Alcaraz won his first French Open title, his participation at Roland Garros was in jeopardy due to a right forearm issue. But not only that Alcaraz managed to play at Roland Garros, but he also managed to beat the likes of Zverev, Jannik Sinner and Stefanos Tsitsipas en route to winning his third Grand Slam title.

Alcaraz noticed the message and responded: "Thanks Iga!"

Alcaraz gets congratulated by Swiatek and his idol Rafael Nadal

After winning the US Open and Wimbledon, Alcaraz now also has a French Open title in his collection. And after winning it all at Roland Garros for the first time in his career, Alcaraz admitted it was a special victory knowing how special that tournament was for Spanish tennis players.

“Winning a Grand Slam is always special. Winning your first in every Grand Slam is always super special. But in Roland Garros, knowing all the Spanish players who have won this tournament and being able to put my name on that amazing list is something unbelievable,” Alcaraz said.

“[It is] something that I dreamed about being in this position since I started playing tennis, since I was five, six years old. So it's a great, great feeling.”

Shortly after Alcaraz sealed his first French Open title, he received a message from his idol Nadal.

"Congratulations @carlosalcaraz for this immense victory!!!! Big!!!! Very happy for your successes!!!" Nadal wrote.

Now, Alcaraz will rest a bit and then turn his focus to the grass season and defending his Wimbledon title.
