Emma Raducanu has made a big rankings leap following her deep Nottingham run as the British tennis player is now ranked at No. 165 in the world after improving 44 spots on this Monday's updated WTA rankings list.

Raducanu, who started last week ranked at No. 209 in the world, started her grass season in Nottingham on a positive note as she made her first semifinal of the year at a WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham. By doing so, Raducanu returned to the top-200 for the first time since launching her comeback at the start of this season.

When the 2024 season started, Raducanu - who was coming off three surgeries - was ranked at No. 301 in the world. Since then, Raducanu has almost cut in half that ranking and is getting closer to being a top-100 player again.

Raducanu: I'm fit, strong, I feel great

In Nottingham, Raducanu claimed two straight-set wins before No. 3 seed Katie Boulter edged her out in a thriller 6-7 (13) 6-3 6-4 in three hours and 13 minutes of play.

After the match, Raducanu was upbeat about her week and said she felt healthy, strong, and ready to play more tennis.

“I feel really good. After the match I went and did intervals, I feel strong. I feel like I could play tomorrow. I am just shaking off a bit of a bug and a cold but physically I am fine," Raducanu said.

“I just feel fit, I feel strong. I didn’t pick up any niggles. Even at the start of this year, just gaining that match fitness and being able to day after day, it’s a good position for me to be in.

“Feeling a little fatigued but being in the latter stages of a tournament. There’s no point being super fresh if your out first round every week. I have come a long way. I physically feel really good. That block has just allowed me to do more work, more fitness.

“I am starting to trust my body a lot more. I wouldn’t say I am the finished product at all but I am getting there.”

Raducanu isn't playing this week but she will return to action in Eastbourne next week, which will be another chance for her to continue her rankings rise.
