ITF Tennis - Gabriela Dabrowski wins doubles title in Florida and aims for singles title now

Tennis - Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski won the doubles title at the ITF $50K event in Captiva Island, Florida on Saturday and will try and win the singles title on Sunday. The Canadian defeated American Julia Cohen 1-6, 7-6, 6-4 in the singles semi-final and will meet second seed Mandy Minella of Luxemburg, who beat another American Allie Kiick without dropping a game in less than an hour.

Speaking after the win, Minella commented, "I felt really good out there today and I am really happy that I won because it was an important match for me. After today, I have now earned enough points to get directly into the Main Draw of the Australian Open, today was a big win.” Dabrowski and Allie Will beat Americans Julia Boserup and Alexandra Mueller 6-1, 6-2 to win the doubles title.
