Martina Hingis and Sabine Lisicki reach semis of the Sony Open Doubles

Tennis: Former Women's singles and doubles world no.1 Martina Hingis reached first semifinal after her comeback as she partnered 2013 Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki to reach the last four of the Sony Open in Miami.

Hingis and Lisicki defeated Anabel Medina Garrigues and Yaroslava Shvedova in 3 sets 3-6, 7-6, 10-7. Martina Hingis had made her comeback last year but could only win 3 matches in 5 tournaments that she played, partnering Daniela Hantuchova.

She did not play any tournament after US Open and had a 6 months break. Hingis changed her partner and played Indian Wells with Lisicki last week but lost in the first round to Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua of Australia.

They will face the winners of 4th seeds Kveta Peschke/Katarina Srebotnik and 5th seeds Cara Black/Sania Mirza for a place in the final.
