2 was going to deny Suarez Navarro her first title but then 25-year-old Spaniard fought back and won next 5 games to win the title. She said, “I’m very happy I could finally win my first WTA title''. Suarez Navarro also revealed that she was nervous and conditions were diffcult too.
“I was a little bit nervous today. It was a difficult match too – it was windy today and we were both making mistakes.'' She also added that she is now looking forward to Madrid, Rome and French Open.
“Now there’s Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros, which to me is the best tournament of the year, but it’s still far – most important right now is the next tournament in Madrid.”
