Tennis: Wimbledon's 2013 finalist Sabine Lisicki and 2012 finalist Agnieszka Radwanska have stormed into the second round of the 2014 Wimbledon with straight sets victories. Last year's finalist, Lisicki started the proceedings on the centre court on day 2, as defending champion Marion Bartoli has retired and is not competing.
The German faced Israel's Julia Glushko, who she overpowered in just 57 minutes in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Lisicki served 2 aces and hit 17 winners in the match. Lisicki will face Karolina Pliskova of Czech Republic in the second round, who won a marathon 3 set match against Karin Knapp of Italy 6-7, 6-4, 10-8.
World No.4 Agnieszka Radwanska brushed aside Romania's Andreea Mitu by exactly the same scoreline, 6-2, 6-1 in just 48 minutes. Radwanska served 7 aces in the match and hit 16 winners. She will face Casey Dellacqua who won in 3 sets against Anett Kontaveit of Estonia 3-6, 7-6, 6-3.
