She could have served better but her over all game was neat and eventually got her a set lead. Hantuchova worked to have the advantage again over her opponent by breaking serve midway through the second set but she was unable to consolidate.
The score was level at 3 games a piece. Bouchard's mental fortitude and resilience has been an area of her game which has improved her performances on tour as well as her ranking. She looked the player that wanted to get the job done in straight sets and she did.
