Tennis: World No.3 Simona Halep and World No.13 Eugenie Bouchard have reached the Wimbledon fourth round for the first time as they earned straight set victories in the third round of the 2014 Wimbledon Championships. French Open finalist Halep, who had won only one match in three appearances at Wimbledon previously, kept rolling as she eased past Belinda Bencic of Switzerland in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
The Romanian saved the only break point she faced in the first set so only one break of serve was enough to get her the first set 6-4 in 46 minutes. Second set was even more easier for Halep, as she converted all three break points she had and won the second set 6-1 in 24 minutes to go through to the last 16, where she will face Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan, who was a winner in 3 sets against 2010 Wimbledon finalist Vera Zvonareva.
This year's Australian Open and French Open semifinalist Eugenie Bouchard defeated former world No.9 Andrea Petkovic 6-3, 6-4 to reach the 4th round. She will face Alize Cornet, who ousted world No.1 Serena Williams.
