World no. 10 Andrea Petkovic, the second reserve player at this week's WTA Tour Championships in Istanbul, has decided not to play the Commonwealth Bank Touranment of Champions in Bali next week - which is the WTA's year end event for winners of their International Series events who have not qualified for Istanbul.
Petkovic has been suffering from a knee injury in recent weeks which is likely to be the reason she did not enter the event. Also missing from the entry field announced on Tuesday was Russian teenager Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. No reason has been cited for her absence.
