Martina Hingis beaten! Makarova and Vesnina win the women´s doubles title

Tennis: Former World No.1 Martina Hingis was beaten in the women's doubles final of the 2014 US Open Championships. 4th seeds Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina defeated Hingis and Flavia Pennetta 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final.

Martina Hingis was looking for an amazing record of having a time span of 18 years between her first and last women's doubles Grand Slam title. Something nobody has ever done in men's or women's doubles in the open era.
