Tennis - Poland's Magda Linette has won the biggest title of her career so far - by winning the WTA $125K Challenger event - the Yinzhou Bank International Women's Tennis Open. Linette defeated local favourite Wang Qiang 3-6, 7-5, 6-1, coming from a set and a break down to win the title.
Linette was understandably delighted with her win, saying that he was happy with how she stayed mentally tough in the match. This was the eighth title of her career but the first on the WTA Tour - her seven previous titles all came on the ITF circuit.
Linette's win sees her move from No. 143 to No. 117 in the latest world rankings while Qiang moves from No. 111 to break into the Top 100 for the first time. Top seeds Arina Rodionova and Olga Savchuk won the doubles title, beating Chinese duo Han Xinyun and Zhang Kai-Lin in the final 4-6, 7-6(2), 10-6.
