Tennis: Seventh seed and the last year's semifinalist, Eugenie Bouchard has raced into the second round of the 2015 Australian Open with a straight sets 6-2 6-4 win over Anna-Lena Friedsam. The 20-year-old Canadian is back to the place where she started a great run of reaching 3 Grand Slam semifinals in a row and had vowed to win a Grand Slam in 2015 after breaking into the top 10 in 2014.
Germany's Anna-Lena Friedsam held her first two service games and put pressure on Bouchard when she served at 1-2. Bouchard had to save a break point and held her game after 3 deuces to make it 2-2, which shifted the momentum on her side.
Bouchard broke her German opponent in the next game to make it 3-2 and broke her again in the seventh game to go 5-2 up. She served out the set by holding her service game at 0 and won the first set 6-2 in half an hour. Bouchard served 2 aces,1 double fault and hit 10 winners, 7 unforced errors in the first set.
