Tennis: The former world No.5 and 2-time former champion Daniela Hantuchova will face Croatia's Ajla Tomljanovic in the final of the Pattaya Open WTA Tennis Tournament in Thailand. Both matches were thrillers and marathons as both went to wire and were decided in the third set tie-breaks. 31-year-old Daniela Hantuchova was first on the court with New Zealand's Marina Erakovic.
The New Zealander won the first set 6-4 and had upper hand in the second set, but Hantuchova turned things around at 3-3 and won the second set 6-3. Erakovic led 5-3 in the third set and had few match points at 5-4, but Hantuchova fought back and won the tie-break 7-3 to go one win away from her third title here. In the second match, 21-year-old Puerto Rico native Monica Puig gave her all and fought till the end, but Tomljanovic won it 7-6(4), 5-7, 7-6(7) in 2 hours and 53 minutes.
