Tennis: The former world No.5 Daniela Hantuchova has won her third Pattaya Open title after coming back from one set down and edging Ajla Tomljanovic in 3 sets 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the final. The 2011 and 2012 Pattaya champion Hantuchova was looking to become first player to win three titles here but she had lost to her Croatian opponent when they met last year in Sydney.
The Croat got the first break of the match in the fifth game to go 3-2 up and then saved a break point in the eighth game, which was a long game on her serve. She broke Hantuchova again in the next game and took the set 6-3 when Hantuchova hit a forehand in the net.
The first set lasted for 34 minutes. It was 1-1 in the second set as both players broke each other, but then Hantuchova started dominating and broke Tomljanovic twice to go 5-2 up. Tomljanovic got one break back and served to stay in the set at 3-5, and then saved 2 set points in that game, but she double faulted on the third set point as Hantuchova levelled the match at one set all by taking the third set 6-3.
