Caroline Wozniacki once again does what she has done the best

Tennis: Former World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki remained on the top of the rankings for almost two years even though she did not win a Grand Slam, but she did well at other WTA Tournaments and did not falter where she was top ranked player.

Wozniacki was shocked in the first round of the Malaysian Open last year, but this time she made sure that she did not stumble and easily reached the second round with a straight sets 6-3, 6-1 win over the Chinese qualifier Yafan Wang. The second seed and the finalist of 2013 Wimbledon, Sabine Lisicki was stunned in the first round by Alexandra Dulgheru in straight sets 6-4, 7-5.

The third seed Casey Dellacqua was also sent packing as doubles specialist Su-Wei Hsieh defeated her in 3 sets 7-5, 2-6, 6-3. Fourth seed Jarmila Gajdosova earned a straight sets 7-5, 6-4 win over Cagla Buyukakcay. The fifth seed Klara Koukalova eased past Patricia Mayr-Achleitner in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
