Tennis - British women Johanna Konta, Naomi Broady and Harriet Dart have been handed over wild cards into the main draw of the WTA Eastbourne, which kicks off next week. While it was no surprise that Konta and Dart have been awarded wild cards into the tournament, it was a surprise to see the 18-year-old Dart receive one with her ranking outside the Top 300.
Konta is ranked No. 139 in the world while Broady is ranked just outside the Top 200. Konta was beaten in the second round of this week's event in Birmingham to Karolina Pliskova while she reached the quarter-finals of the Nottingham event last week where she went down to Monica Niculescu.
