WTA FINALS DOUBLES - Hingis and Mirza keep winning, Babos/Mladenovic beat Kops-Jones/Spears

Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza keep winning without losing any set! The Swiss/Indian duo beat the Czech team of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka 6/3 6/4 after an hour and 18 mins. In the first set, Hingis and Mirza were totally under control.

In the second set, Hlavackova and Hradecka were up 3-1 and then 4-3 with a break, but lost three games in a row. Hingis and Mirza, who won in Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Wimbledon, US Open, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Beijing together this year, are almost sure to qualify to the semifinals and on Friday will face Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic.

In the other match of the Red Group Babos and Mladenovic beat Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears 7/6(5) 6/2 after an hour and 21 mins. In the first set, the American duo was up 2-0 but got broken back immediately. In the tie-break, Kops-Jones and Spears were up 5/4 and serve, but lost three points in a row.

In the second set, Timea and Kristina dominated breaking their opponents in the fourth and seventh game. In the Group Hingis and Mirza are currently leading, followed by Hlavackova and Hradecka, who face Kops-Jones and Spears next.
