WTA MIAMI DOUBLES - Safarova/Mattek Sands beat Shvedova/Babos and win their fifth title together

Fifth title won together for Bethanie Mattek Sands and Lucie Safarova after Australian Open, Stuttgart, Roland Garros and Rogers Cup. In the Miami Open Final they have beaten Yaroslava Shvedova and Timea Babos 6-4 6-3 after an hour and 22 minutes.

In the first set Safarova and Mattek were up 4-2, then got broken back but the eighth game was the key for the Czech/American duo, who went up 5-3 to win the set. In the second they were not so much consistent, as were broken back twice.

However on 4-4 Lucie and Bethanie broke their opponents and then held the serve easily in the last game. Mattek Sands is one of the five players this year beyond Novak Djokovic, Victoria Azarenka, Pierre Herbert, Nicolas Mahut to win back to back titles in Indian Wells and Miami this season.

Safarova finally gets a good result even if in women's doubles after the bacterical infection: it's her ninth career-doubles title. ALSO READ: Novak Djokovic and the lawsuit against Rio de Janeiro: ´Process is underway, but we´ll find a solution´
