Tennis - 35-year-old Lourdes Dominguez Lino has retired from the sport of tennis, having played her last tennis match at the Spanish Team Championships. She is currently ranked 214th in the world and won 2 WTA singles and 6 WTA doubles titles during her career.

She peaked at No. 40 in the rankings in 2006 and earned over $2.4 million in career prize money. Her last appearance on the professional tennis circuit was a first round qualifying loss at the US Open in August. Several of her compatriots tweeted their respect for the 35-year-old on her retirement.
