The quarter-final line-up at the WTA Sydney Open was impressive in spite of the early upsets. The following is a recap of the day’s action: Second seed Agnieszka Radwanska defeated American Coco Vandeweghe 6-3, 6-2. The Pole will meet Barbora Strycova in the semi-finals in the latter half of the singles draw.
The Czech upset the 10th seed Caroline Wozniacki. In the top-half, sixth seed Johanna Konta and wild card Eugenie Bouchard will play the semi-finals. The Briton defeated Daria Kasatina and the Canadian defeated Kasatkina’s countrywoman, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
