Tennis - Former World No. 1 Jelena Jankovic has hired Argentine Guillermo Canas as her new coach for a trail period. Jankovic was beaten in the third round of the Australian Open by Svetlana Kuznetsova in a three-hour long battle.
Jankovic has said she will work with Canas on a trial period and thend ecide if they will work on a longer term basis as the Serb tries to return to the top of the women's game. It is not known if Canas will continue coaching ATP players Teymuraz Gabashvili and Mikhail Kukushkin.
Canas is a former Top 10 player from the ATP Tour and peaked at No. 8 in the rankings. He won 7 ATP titles during his career and reached the quarter-finals of the French Open on three occasions before retiring in 2010. Also Read - Radwanska Says Jankovic Is the Loudest Player on the Tour
