Timea Bacsinszky reveals extreme bad news for her fans

Once again an injury for Timea Bacsinszky. The Swiss player, who had reached Roland Garros semifinals last month showing to be at a great level again after a serious knee injury, announced she has withdrawn from WTA International Gstaad that came back on the WTA Tour last year.

'Hello everyone, it is with huge disappointment that I have to announce my withdrawal from the @ladiesgstaadopen which starts at the end of the week', Bacsinszky wrote on her official Instagram account on Wednesday morning. 'The medical exams I took after Wimbledon revealed a muscle injury to my left thigh. It saddens me deeply as I was very much looking forward to playing in Gstaad, a tournament I love and and of which I am the Ambassador. Thanks again for all your support messages and I look forward to seeing you soon.'

At Wimbledon Bacsinszky lost to Agnieszka Radwanska at third round level in three sets.
