Tennis - Czech star Kristyna Pliskova suffered a hand injury in bizarre circumstances at the WTA Jiangxi Open in China forcing her to retire during her quarter-final match against Japan's Nao Hibino. Pliskova, the left-handed twin sister of World No.
1 Karolina, was leading 3-0 in the first set when she tried to move a large fan away from her seat but as seen in the tweet below, she sliced her thumb open while trying to do so. Pliskova's hand started to bleed and she was soon attended by the tournament officials, following which she decided to withdraw from the match, sending Hibino into the semi-finals.
