WTA Looking To Curb Grunting

The WTA has said that it plans to impose rule changes that will kill off excessive grunting in the women's game. The complaint of loud grunts has plagued the WTA for years, with each new Grand Slam bringing a slew of player and viewer complaints of the deafening noises made by players like Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azaranka and Serena Williams.

The governing body of women's tennis did not mention any details about its plans, but confirmed that widespread fan complaints have lead them to the conclusion that some action is necessary.
